WORKSHOPS		Our informal beading workshops are for everyone, and provide an ideal environment in which to enjoy this relaxing and fascinating hobby. No prior experience is necessary and all tools are supplied. Classes are arranged according to demand, on Wednesday, Saturday, or Sunday afternoons. A list of topics appears below, but we are always open to suggestion if your specific interests are not covered.
		You can make your bookings by phone or by email, and payment may be made on the day of the class.				Take What You Make!
Class sizes are normally limited to a maximum of 5 people so that everyone receives personal attention.		TAKE WHAT YOU MAKE! The course price includes everything you need to make the item, with your choice of lovely beads and components.

	WED. 8 APRIL 2pm - 3.30pm SAT 11 APRIL 2pm - 3.30pm	Introduction to Tools, Beads and Findings This class is intended for those with little or no experience of jewellery making. It is an introduction to the tools required and the techniques for using them, with the opportunity to practice. We will also cover and demonstrate the wide range of beads and findings available, and the various metals and other materials involved. We will cover the techniques for making loops, wrapped loops, knotting and crimping, and for adding attatchments (split rings, clasps, wire protectors etc). The safety aspects of working with tools and wire will also be addressed.SESSION PRICE $15.00 per person. .
	WED. 15 APRIL 2pm - 3.30pm SAT 18 APRIL 2pm - 3.30pm	Earring Basics 1 This class is an introduction to making earrings and the types of earwires, mounts, filigrees and other findings used. The various metals involved in design, and the use of head pins, eye pins and filigree wires will be covered. It provides an opportunity to choose and experiment with various types of beads and findings, and there should be sufficient time to create a simple pair of earrings. 	WED. 22 APRIL 2pm - 3.30pm SAT 25 APRIL 2pm - 3.30pm	Earring Basics 2 This class provides an opportunity to use the techniques from Class 1, and to experiment further with all of the beads and findings available. We will also cover extra techniques for making loops and wrapped loops to attach beads and findings, including the use of wire. There will be sufficient time to create a more elaborate pair of earrings to take home with you. SESSION PRICE $22.00 per person..
	WED. 29 APRIL 2pm - 3.30pm SAT 2 MAY 2pm - 3.30pm	Bracelet Basics 1 This class is a relaxed introduction to making bracelets with memory wire. Once again, you will be shown the techniques and tools required, and the methods of finishing the wire ends or attaching fasteners. You can experiment with various types of colours, beads and designs.SESSION PRICE $25.00 per person..
	WED. 6 MAY 2pm - 3.30pm SAT 9 MAY 2pm - 3.30pm	Bracelet Basics 2 This class introduces you to charm bracelets using chain, beads and metals. You will be shown the techniques for creating, making and attaching beaded charms, and the methods of finishing the bracelet and attaching fasteners. Making charms (or at least those that you find pleasing!) takes time, but there should be sufficient time to experiment and at least start your bracelet.SESSION PRICE $25.00 per person..
	WED. 13 MAY 2pm - 3.30pm SAT 16 MAY 2pm - 3.30pm	Threading Basics 3 This class introduces you to bracelets using conventional beading wires. You will be shown the techniques for creating, assembling and finishing a single row bracelet, and the types of wire to use for various bead weights. We will cover the methods of ending the wires and attaching a single row clasp or toggle. There will be time to design and create a single row bracelet using your choice of glass, porcelain and/or metal beads. SESSION PRICE $25.00 per person..
	WED. 20 MAY 2pm - 3.30pm SAT 23 MAY 2pm - 3.30pm	Pendant Necklaces This class introduces you to the various methods of making a pendant necklace. You will be shown the various chains and cords available, and given various ideas for making a pendant. This will utilize some of the skills you learned in the charm bracelet course. 	WED. 27 MAY 2pm - 3.30pm SAT 30 MAY 2pm - 3.30pm	Linked Beads This class introduces you to necklaces and bracelets using linked beads. You will be shown the techniques for creating and joining links. There should be time to design and start a simple single row necklace or bracelet. SESSION PRICE $30.00 per person..
	WED. 3 JUNE 2pm - 3.30pm SAT 6 JUNE 2pm - 3.30pm	Threaded Necklaces This class introduces you to necklaces using conventional beading wires and a variety of beads. You will be shown the techniques for choosing the bead types and colours, creating your design, making and threading a single row necklace, and the types of wire to use for various bead weights. We will cover the methods of ending the wires and attaching a single row clasp. SESSION PRICE $30.00 per person..
	WED. 10 JUNE 2pm - 3.30pm SAT 13 JUNE 2pm - 3.30pm	Illusion Necklaces This class covers necklaces using beading wire with either 'floating' beads or charms.
